Brandon Bowers is a Service Facilitator (SF) and Individual Skills Development & Enhancement (ISDE) Skill Developer at Grand Journey LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Iowa and a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. Brandon brings a strong academic and research-based foundation to his work, with a focus on mental health rehabilitation across a wide range of client needs and backgrounds.
Brandon takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, emphasizing the importance of meeting individuals where they are and recognizing progress through small, meaningful steps. He believes that lasting mental health growth is built through “baby steps,” and he prioritizes consistent communication and regular check-ins to adapt to each client’s evolving needs.
With a strong awareness of cultural, social, and economic influences, Brandon incorporates his knowledge of structural inequality and financial stressors into his work, helping clients navigate real-world challenges that impact mental health. He is committed to understanding each client’s unique background, including cultural, religious, and personal experiences, to provide thoughtful and individualized support.
Brandon is particularly interested in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and integrates its principles into his work to support emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. His background in research also informs his practice, as he actively seeks to better understand the challenges his clients face.
Outside of work, Brandon enjoys resistance training, exploring the outdoors with his partner, and staying up to date with video games and technology. Clients can expect a curious, supportive, and engaging provider who values their story and is committed to helping them build confidence, independence, and overall well-being.
