Juliet Chang

Service Facilitator

Dao has a supportive wife, three amazing children and a Maltese family dog named. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Services with a concentration in Social Work. After earning his degree, he worked for over 10 years as a Bilingual Educational and Special Education Assistant, supporting Hmong, Southeast Asian, and Latina students in the Verona and McFarland School Districts.

Most recently, he served as a CCS Service Facilitator for over a year at The Hmong Institute in Madison, WI. In addition, Dao has worked as a freelance interpreter and translator, bilingual in Hmong and English. Some of his previous clients include the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the Madison Area School District, and the Verona Area School District.

Caring for his grandparents in their late 80s gave him firsthand experience with the challenges of senior care, including mental health issues, promoting healthy lifestyles, and fostering social inclusion--deepening his empathy for the aging process and sharpening his ability to address concerns with respect, timeliness, and care.

This personal journey inspired Dao to shift his career from education to the CCS field. He is passionate about building meaningful relationships with his clients, whether supporting them at doctor’s appointments, providing transportation to hospitals and clinics, or assisting with interpreting important documents.

Dao is excited to continue learning and growing in his role and looks forward to expanding his knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and community resources, particularly those affecting the communities we serve.

Nao Lue often goes by the name, Louie, as he stuck with that nickname since childhood due to constant mispronunciation of his original name. He comes from a very big family of 12 siblings-- 3 older brothers and 9 sisters, being the 3rd youngest and youngest son in his family. He grew up with parents who were non-English speaking refugees and faced many hardships living in poverty.

After basic training, Nao Lue was based in Tulsa, Oklahoma towards a career in Security Forces and served 2 years before he decided to discharge to due family matters and was given an honorable discharge. He became the sole provider caretaker for his ill mother and 2 youngest sisters, and then built a family of his own. Eventually, he took legal guardianship of his great nephew and also took in his 2nd youngest sister after his mother's passing.
