Savannah is a Skill Developer at Grand Journey LLC, where she provides Individual Skill Development and Enhancement (ISDE) services. Since joining the team in 2024, she has primarily supported youth in building essential skills and navigating mental health and substance use challenges. Her work focuses on emotional regulation, coping strategies, communication, problem-solving, daily living skills, and increasing independence and self-confidence.
Savannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and is preparing to pursue her Master’s in Social Work to further her commitment to youth mental health and community-based care. Prior to joining Grand Journey, she served as a PASS AmeriCorps member and Program Leader with Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR), and as a technology instructor with the Information Technology Academy, supporting youth in academic and enrichment settings.
Savannah takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, emphasizing empathy, collaboration, and empowerment. She believes meaningful change comes from understanding each individual’s lived experiences and building on their unique strengths. As a Hmong-Lao American, she is deeply committed to providing culturally responsive and inclusive care, with a passion for supporting individuals, and addressing mental health stigma, intergenerational trauma, and barriers to care.
Inspired by her own experiences as an AVID, Upward Bound, ITA, and PEOPLE scholar, Savannah is dedicated to helping youth reach their full potential. Outside of work, she enjoys music, photography, reading, gaming, and creative outlets such as design, sewing, and filmmaking. interests she often uses to build meaningful and engaging connections with clients.
